Directors Notes

‘Quartet’ is a beautifully touching and very funny play, written by Ronald Harwood in commemoration of George Solti and dedicated to his widow, Valerie. It is extremely fitting therefore, that the Quartet in question are four retired opera singers, who have worked together in the past, and are now dealing with the many problems of old age in their own individual ways. hope you have as much pleasure watching the play this evening as I have had rehearsing it.
