Directors Notes
“Daisy Pulls it Of” has been a favourite play of mine since I saw it in the early 80’s at the Globe Theatre in London. So when asked if I would consider directing it I leapt at the chance only then to remember the saying “Fools rush in where angels tear to tread”. Having realised my folly I set about getting the wherewithal to put this production on – some of the best talent in Bingley Little Theatre. From set designer to wardrobe, back stage to the lighting and sound box, not to mention a talented cast. Without this dedicated team who have worked so very hard, right through Christmas and the New Year “Daisy” would never have got onto the stage. For when all is said and done a director is merely a mirror for each member of the team to focus their talents upon. So when the play ends and the curtain falls remember the unseen stars as well as the actors, for it is also their skills which have made this production possible. And my thanks must go to them as well as the cast for making my job such a pleasure.
