Directors Notes

“Once upon a time”-that’s how all good fairy tales begin–but you’ve heard all that before, haven’t you? Besides, this isn’t a fairy tale.

This is a story of ADVENTURE so come along with Trudi and her minstrel friend, Peter Pumpernickel (isn’t that a funny name?) to a colourful land of music and magic of goodies and baddies- -of plot and counterplot-the land of the dragon and trolls a land full of delight.

You’ll even meet a REAL LIVE MERMAID- and a charming prince, of course. It is a land and a story of things ancient (the Baroness, for instance) and things modern (yes-_they have ‘pop’).

It’s almost a Pantomime, but much more exciting!

I really mustn’t tell you any more. All right–just one more thing l’lI tell you it’s a truly MAGICAL play BECAUSE -guess what?

When it’s over, it will be nearly Christmas when Santa Claus comes and everybody is happy and people suddenly all become “goodies”.

We hope that Father Christmas will be good to you.
