Directors Notes
When I read the script for ‘Visiting Mr. Green’ I was struck by the quality of the writing and the depth of characterisation. It is rare to be able to stage a two-hander of this quality and so recently released – in fact if Jonathan Scott had not written to the US Rights Holders direct, we would not have had permission from Jeff Baron to perform the play. In Gordon and Phil we have as a team two super actors of whose rehearsal time it has been pleasure to be a part. As Director, I sincerely hope you enjoy the developing relationship of these two characters – and any tears should be both happy and sad.
