Synopsis
An exciting new adaptation of the Bard’s classic play, using a mix of original Shakespearean language and modern-day speech with original songs and music. Romeo & Juliet tells the tale of the two young, star-crossed lovers from the Montague and Capulet families in Verona, whose courtship leads to great tragedy as an ancient feud leads to a terrible conclusion. This steampunk-style adaptation of Romeo & Juliet, by Sally Edwards, with music by Katy Grainger, stars a large, talented cast from Kaleidoscope Youth Theatre and aims to help people of all generations understand the play more fully, as well as leaving the audience both entertained and emotionally engaged when they leave the theatre.
